Mason Memorial Home is a family owned and operated, full service funeral home. With almost two decades of experience in the funeral industry, licensed funeral director Michael Mason is proud to provide burial and cremation services, guidance and personalized, affordable care for all families in need. Michael believes every family deserves a respectful, personalized service. His commitment to compassion, professionalism, and affordability has helped him build lasting relationships within the communities he has served. Michael has always prided himself on treating every family as if they were his own.
Opened in May 2026, Michael and his team of dedicated funeral professionals are honored to serve the communities of Amsterdam, Hagaman, Fonda, Glenville, Scotia, Johnstown and the entire Montgomery, Schenectady and Albany Counties and surrounding Capital District.
Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Michael and his wife Colleen purchased the former Guzielek-Pomykaj Funeral Home and Amsterdam Funeral Chapel property in April of 2026. They then went on to start Mason Memorial Home as co-owners. Michael, Colleen and the entire Mason Family are honored to have the opportunity to guide families from all backgrounds and faiths during some of life’s hardest moments.
Mason Memorial Home is nestled on a quiet, residential street in the City of Amsterdam. With a large, private parking lot and wheelchair accessibility, Mason Memorial Home is fit to accommodate all families and types of services.
If the main facility does not suit your needs, Mason Memorial Home offers location flexibility and is prepared to facilitate arrangements to hold your services in a church, hall, alternative venue or even another funeral home.
